"Road gators" are viscous! I hit one once that disabled my school van carrying the golf team on a road trip. No golf match that day, but a fun four hours at car dealership while the damage was repaired.

I hope their luck improves!

I'm enjoying reading the account of your adventures.

Just curious, does the end of the cylinder pin screw off to retain the pin and spring? I've never really looked at that part of a Ruger cylinder pin.

This weird firearm stoppage reminds me of the time at Oak Ridge when my 73 Uberti rifle locked up on a stage. You pulled the side plates off my rifle and found a spent primer jammed in the links. Luckily, the steel plates weren't shooting back when her revolver went "belly up".

Looking forward to hearing about your Big Texan restaurant experience. Long Gulch and I enjoyed our dinner there, although there was a fly doing the backstroke through the gravy of his chicken fried steak (they did bring him a new one).

You could get lost in that place for a couple of hours because there is so much to see and do.

Safe travels!

We heard that she was in very poor health while we were at Black Gold. We're sorry for his loss.

I've seen the extended grips from the site below and they are decent.  Eagle grips have them also, but they're asking about $275 a pair.

Trailboss is currently not being produced.  If you find any size for sale, it will have a ridiculous price on it.

Randy,

I saw the Ruger OA this past Saturday.  It's blued with adjustable sights.  It is in very good shape.

Currently, Ruger 10/22s are priced at $279.99 at Sportsman's Warehouse for the blued barrel, wood or synthetic stock.  You mention an extra barrel, do you know what barrels come with the rifle?  The value would be increased with a SS barrel, a threaded barrel, or a Volquartsen barrel or parts.  The model and brand of optics could also make it worth $300.

I would be interested of I knew more about this rifle.

They also sell a manual one (which I also have), but it's a lot of work.

Yes, they are legal.  I have one that works on my MEC press.
