Wanted to day hello!

Well I guess I will introduce myself. I go by the alias Nick L. Finish. Family and I just moved to the east Tennessee area and looks like the oak ridge outlaws are my closest shooting club! I look forward to getting to know everybody. I was considered a youngster in the sport from where I come from. I'm 42 and happy and willing to lend a hand where and whenever I can!

As for shooting I started CAS at the end of 2019 and as we all know 2020 was a very interesting year so I didn't even get a full year in shooting CAS. 2021 I was able to get some time in but the last few months had to concentrate on moving. I hope to get many more years in shooting CAS and am looking to eventually get into classic cowboy category. The wife is somewhat interested but might also need a little nudge from other to get into shooting. She likes to shoot but she's a little intimidated because of all the other veterans in the sport.

I look forward to getting to know everybody and any and all questions are welcome!

Well I will say where I'm from but don't judge me based on that. I fit in much better here than I ever did there. I'm from Oregon. Used to shoot with the Molalla River Rangers. Ive found that this sport is always welcoming so I'm not afraid to say where I'm from.  I have always had a passion for classic firearms and I love history. Discovering this sport was just a nice little bonus!

So do you guys shoot year round? I have to say I am pleasantly suprised to learn my shooting season isn't over then! The range i was shooting at ends its season in November. And its a good thing they did. Two weeks ago the range was flooded with a foot of water!

I look forward to coming out next month and I planned on just stopping by and meeting people but just might have to dress down and shoot instead!

Howdy there Nick and welcome.

Those are good people at the Oak Ridge club and will welcome you and hopefully your wife will join in the fun a little later too.

My son lives in Wilsonville Oregon and I've shot a few times with the Molalla Rangers in Canby along with the Oregon Cowboys in Sherwood and also at OOWSS in Albany/Shedd. Don't believe we've ever met up but looking forward to meeting and shooting with you.

Such warm welcomes! Thank you! So far we are on the hunt for a house. We might have found one but don't want to jinx it. In the mean time we are staying in maryville with family. I will definitely try and be there for setup! I love to help out whenever I can!
