Where to buy a rifle/shotgun?

We have a new shooter who is trying to get outfitted and is asking about rifles and shotguns.  She has the revolvers. but is looking for a 73 rifle in .38 and a SxS shotgun.

A. Does anyone know of either of these for sale?  I'd think it would be most cost-effective to buy a used one, maybe one with at least some work done on it.
B. Is there a SASS person who sells tuned-up used guns.  Is, say, Johnny Meadows in TX still in business? I'm just not familiar anymore with who does this stuff.
C. Where would be some places to buy a new one if it comes to that?  Longhunter or some other customizer?  Or just buy a stock one?

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Check with Slater and T- Bone.

As far as Longhunter, he is still selling rifles. I think his shotgun
Gunsmith moved on to greener pastures so he is not advertising shotguns. Need to call him. Great to talk to. I bought a 73 in 357 from him.

John Barleycorn, Barleycorn Outfitters, is a great source also. He usually has used guns. He had a Cimarron Saddle  Rifle 357  on the SASS Merchants Wire for $1375 in June. I have purchased a couple from him.

Griner Gunworks also has a post on the wire that they have 73s and CZ Sharptail coach guns. Check their website

Can always post a WTB post with what they are looking for.

There have been several used rifles and shotguns on the national wire the last week.

Did Jim Mayo sell the shotguns he had listed on here? They were priced right.

No problem. If she didn't I have an 1873 Winchester Miroku. 20" 357 slicked up but not short stroked. It doesn't need it.
