Cowboy passes
« on: May 07, 2018, 02:28:40 PM »

I have been notified that Oracle aka RJ Gryder has passed.

I do not have any details but I am sure someone will post info as it becomes available.

Sorry for the lack of info but just found out and am out of town.

For those of you who did not know him, he was quite a character.

Oracle was a longtime SASS member, badge #4854. I know very little about him but he moved into the area about 10 years ago. He shot with us on & off but probably not in the last three years. He and Owlhoot Hardin became friends and they would occasionally shot at the Ocoee Rangers as well. He indeed was a unique individual. Condolences to his family & friends.

For you old timers back in the day of the Cowboy Chronical there was a picture of him riding a Long Horn at EOT one year. At least I think it was a Long Horn, it may have been a Buffalo.

What a career! Though I some suspected there was more under the surface, little did we all know.
I am thankful for his service.
Harley.
