Yeh lil varmints seem to get away, dang these buffalo guns particular in what they eat I been trying to get a one inch pattern at 100 off a rest and have come to the sad but true realization the dang gun will do it every time I just ain't Holden up my end of the job. Tiss a perishable skill. But that recoil is a hoot every time. Least till it hurts.

So,

I got a hold of a 94 Legendary Frontiersman in 38-55 and an H & R Buffalo Classic in 45-70.   I have shot the 94 in my back yard and it's really fun.  Have yet to shoot the big one though.

Really looking forward to this long range,  if you attend I'll probably have more questions than I have ammo.

Hope we get a good turn out.

Maddog,  I'll be there at 3 to help you set up.

Sheriff l, i have a marlin 1895 lever gun in 45-70, have ammo loaded for it with 300 grain flat nose bullets, pushing it with 15 grain of trial boss, pretty lite load. i will have plenty of ammo at the shoot so if you want to bring the 45-70 you can shoot some of mine and see how it do. Give me a chance to pay ya back for the primers which i really thank you for.

Thanks Maddog.

I'll have both rifles with me.  Have some "off the shelf"  Cowboy 38-55 and 45-70.  Would like to try yours too.  I'm just getting my reloading stuff together for both and trying to learn.

Did shoot the 45-70. I may have taken down a small tree.  It's a beast - but fun!

Really looking forward to this.

Thanks again for taking point on this.  Let me know if I can help you out at all.
