Let me see if I can clear up something I tired to address before the match on Saturday.
Straight up or down range is OK while approaching the line and staging the guns, however, with the stage where the table was angled into the berm. If a person were to have the SG in their left hand and placed the butt of the SG on the table while they staged the rifle with their right hand the rotation of the body will cause the barrel of the rifle to lean back thus breaking the straight up plan. It is very easy to forget one gun while staging the other gun.
I hope that makes a little more sense and I am sorry for any confusion I may have caused, just be aware of both long guns at all times.
