Dark Days of May
« on: May 24, 2019, 10:07:30 PM »
I can't help but notice that this particular month has been so bad on many levels.
Deaths, Judge, Bea, and others.
Heart attacks, strokes, pacemakers, sprains, strains, rehabs, cancer recurrence, surgeries, non cowboy, local friends with
many, many problems. Personal problems, here for me and mine.
What, exactly is going on? I don't want to hear ,"time of life."
Harley.

I chose my alias because as you know one of the biggest challenges that a cowboy had in the old west was crossing rivers. In fact, a cattle drive can be compared to life as there will always be obstacles and challenges. I believe this life we live here is not about this life but the next.

I believe what Jesus said in John 16:33. “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble but take heart !  I have overcome the world.”

The River Jordan is easy to cross because Jesus already paid the way. He is the way.
I know that Preacher Red and many of us believe this to be true and despite life’s trouble we look forward to reunion and fellowship in eternity.
