The owners at Swifty's is really working hard to earn our business this Saturday after the match.
They are promising Happy Hour pricing on all beer.
Super fast service. Extra Staff. Correct billing.
Starter pitchers of Beer on the tables (on the house).

I hope some middle ground can be reached with Swifty's. I was not happy in the past, either,
but I just want a regular watering hole, meaning I like the room.

Like Harley I have mixed feelings but enjoy the room at Swifty's and a meal other than Mexican. We will probably have a small group going to eat after the match since the main body of revelers are at the TN State match. Hope we'll see many of the regular shooters with UT playing a late afternoon game at Texas A&M.

If we decide to make Swifty's our regular stop, they have made the offer to keep the room reserved for each shoot. (Free)

Well, if you can't say something nice....

Swifty's management was notified prior to our arrival to expect about a dozen customers.  If I recall correctly there were 13 of us and 1 server.  There were three customers in the main seating area, six at the bar, and I'm not sure how many staff was working that area.  I saw at least three.

Our drink orders were taken fairly soon after we arrived (AM and I were about the last to show up).  Seemed like a long time between orders and deliveries, in my opinion.  Management did comp one pitcher of beer that I know of (after we paid for one).  Our bill for 1 pitcher of beer, a hamburger, and fish tacos was $40 including tip.

They do have a nice room, but I'm not impressed with Swifty's service, food, or prices.

Would be interested to hear other opinions.  Keystone? Tio Don?

It seems like they didn't take the opportunity to earn our business.  I do like the room, but I can not tolerated long wait times for beer, especially when it is overpriced.

I was with the first ones to arrive. Acted like they didn't know anything about our group coming. They needed more than one waiter. Loved the room. Beer was good, not free, at least at my end of the table.

Howdy,

The room at Swifty's is an asset and the fish/shrimp po'boy is tasty. Since I seldom drink alcoholic beverages I can't comment of pricing of such. The space is nice but folks still are not all seated together. Folks tend to congregate with they same people after the match and there is plenty of space to move between tables. Overall service at the Mexican restaurant (Casa DeGollado) is hard to beat with the bar & kitchen a short distance from our usual seating location and the effort of the staff.
