February 11th Match Predictions
« on: February 08, 2017, 08:48:46 AM »
Purly asked in another thread what's in store for Saturday...here's my prediction.

1.  There will likely be some clouds  (of smoke)

2.  No rifle or handgun knockdowns

3.  Two stand-and-deliver stages, two stages with lateral movement, and one with downrange movement

4.  At least one Valentine Day dispute

5.  Debrief at Hacienda Degollado

I'm planning on being "smoky" Saturday.  I just need to finish some shotgun shells.  Or, we could just skip the preliminaries and head straight to Hacienda Degollado!!!

Mongo, will you be obscured by fog? Will your visage be hard to discern? I don't understand.

I'm hoping for a breeze because I'm being called by the evil dark side.

Sure is looking like a great day to shoot on Saturday. Hope everyone can make it. We sure don't see many shoots in February with pleasant weather.

As for the predictions I predict a different overall winner this month.  :)

We had great time!  It was perfect weather and the stages were fun.

Judge, BP went fine.  I missed my first pistol shot and that was my only miss for the day.  There was no breeze, so it was a guessing game for those of us shooting BP.

I really had fun with BP.  The only downside is firearm clean-up and a little more time involved in reloading.

It is far faster to run all of the same caliber smokeless on the Dillon.

With cleaning guns, I most admitted that, when shooting smokeless, the guns don't always get a thorough cleaning after every match.  That type of behavior is a "Bozo No-No" when shooting real BP.

Wish I could have been there. May be another 20 years before you get a day like yesterday in Feb.
That is unless global warming continues.  ;D
