Nice one, Tombstone, and so true. You got to hear, "Misses, zero."
Congrats on the clean Outlaw match.

"My" thread is not just for me.....

I'm Fast Harley and I was anti-social.
THEN: I found Cowboy Action Shooting. From the very first folks were friendly and helpful.
Before too long, I became accustomed to the comradery, the hugs and handshakes, the genuine
caring for one another. The touch and closeness of others became the norm. This collection of
like-minded souls was like an addiction that had to be experienced!
After many, many years, one day a calamity occurred. No longer could we gather as we did. No
more contact and friendly gestures. Alas, at times even facial expression could not be seen!
I, for one, am in withdrawal: In fact, I am backsliding. I had become a social animal, but now...

F.H.

Fun is at a premium of any kind, right now.
Also, there is not too much life in the forums for a while now.
Depression, and apathy are widespread, and some of that leaks over into Cowboy Action, I think.
Many can't participate due to underlying conditions, and the rest of us can't be as free as once was.
However, Cowboy matches have always been a great escape from the world and we don't need to
lose sight of that. Hopefully someday there will be more than the "New Normal."
CAS is only a game, but remember: That is the beauty of it!
It's true, all being said, that we are not doing Tn. State, or Ambush partly because of the state of things
but mostly L.K.'s pain level.

As for me, I have been having "fun," and excitement roofing my front porch, and working in firewood
for the winter.

Yes, I have awakened, climbed out of my hole, not seen my shadow, so:
What have you been doing during these terrible times for your mental state? I checked and mine is fine...  :P
I have revisited the guitar, (loudly,) and the drums, (loudly,) at least one gun project, as always building, remodeling,
planning gardening for the season.

Kitty Kat and I have been doing repair work around our house, her mother's house, and our daughter's house.  I thought being retired meant I only had to do fun stuff?

I've always considered myself a good cook.  Since most all our meals have been cooked at home, I've been making higher level stuff.  So far, so good and, as always, you get to eat your mistakes (you have to destroy the evidence somehow). I've also been doing some gun and leather projects.  We are both hoping that, post vaccinations, we can "play" with more of our friends at some bigger multiple day shoots.

Harley, since you mentioned gardening...  I planned ahead this year and ordered all the seeds for the garden from Pine Tree seed company.  Last year Mom found part of a 4 or 5 year-old package of bush beans from Pine Tree in the back of a drawer.  There weren't enough so I bought a new package of Burpee seeds at Lowes.  We planted a row of each right next to each other.  Only about half the Burpee seed sprouted but every single one of those old seeds came up.  Lesson learned.

What are you planting in your garden this year?

Mostly been doing a butterfly garden for 2 or 3 years. Figured it was time to go big again. I also ordered
seed and plants early, can't tell about later...
Plan on tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn ,beans, peanuts, onions ,cabbage, lettuce, squash, etc.
Flowers, and wildflowers.
Probably won't rain for 3 months.

Heard on radio that there may be a seed and plant shortage this year. Good thing you ordered early Anita.
Harley as far as rain goes, looks like end of this week and next week is a wash out.  :o

Ethan, what I really meant to say was it will frost and freeze until and probably after crops are
planted, THEN it won't rain for 3 months.

I guess that must be true, Uncle Ethan.  They had a notice on their website that there is high demand and orders might take a while.  Got my shipment today.

Sugar peas, radishes, lettuce, cucumbers, beans, squash, plus some zinnias and coneflowers for the front yard.  No tomatoes because for the last couple years we got leaf spot.  Wish I could grow okra, but I just don't have the room to plant enough.

Do you boil your peanuts, Harley?

My mental state may have improved over this last year.  At least, I might be a little smarter after completing some online courses in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and a few others.  There are some woodworking and leather projects in the works along with upkeep on two houses.

I have not had to reload very much.    :-\

p.s.  Boiled peanuts...ewww!
