New Shooters and visitors are always welcome!

We are a very friendly group of folks and we love to introduce new people to our shooting sport. Come out and watch a match! Remember that eye and ear protection is required…so bring your ear plugs and safety glasses.

The Oak Ridge Outlaws are an authorized and fully affiliated sub-club of the Oak Ridge Sportsmen’s Association.

Our club follows all the rules of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) except that shooting a round over the berm is a match disqualification.

In addition the the SASS categories, we recognize several local categories: Outlaw, Double Duelist and Josey Wales. (click here for the rules of these categories.)

Before you participate in your first cowboy match, we recommend that you attend a New Shooter Orientation (if you can) so that you will be familiar with our procedures. Go to the Contacts page to request an orientation or join our Forum and introduce yourself.

2nd Saturday of the month
NOTE: Winter hours – matches start at 10am. Sign-in begins at 9:00 am and we begin shooting after a safety briefing at 10:00am.  We shoot five or six stages at this match.  Fee is $20 ($15 for members*).  Kids 16 and under shoot free.
* Member = ORSA member or pay $20/yr or shoot 4 main matches in a year.

Tuesday before the 2nd Saturday
NOTE: Winter hours – matches start at 10am. This match is on a “weather-permitting” basis. Check the schedule here to make sure it is still on.   We begin shooting at 10:00am and shoot five or six stages. Fee is $10.  Kids 16 and under shoot free.

Wild Bunch Match – Thursday before the 2nd Saturday
We begin shooting at 10:00am. Fee is $10.
